New teasers for the premiere of “My Name is Loh Kiwan” on Netflix have been released! Loh Kiwan, a North Korean defector, arrives in Belgium with his last hope, and Marie, a woman who has lost her reason to live, meet, break up, and fall in love in “My Name is Loh Kiwan,” a drama based on the novel “I Met Loh Kiwan” (literal title) by Jo Hae Jin.
A new poster and teaser for “My Name is Loh Kiwan” were released on February 1, along with the confirmation of the film’s premiere on March 1. The recently published poster features Loh Kiwan making his way through the throng.
Loh Kiwan displays his determination with a resolute and unflinching stare while in an unknown place among strangers. He embarks on a perilous voyage to Belgium, hoping to find hope, as the words “I have decided to survive in this land” emphasize.
The poster and teaser both depict Loh Kiwan’s alone arrival in Belgium. After anxiously waiting at the immigration desk, Loh Kiwan is finally admitted to Belgium. However, the terrible fact is that he is alone in this strange place, confronted only with hunger and cold.

Memories of Loh Kiwan’s life in North Korea flashback as he attempts to establish his refugee status. But when he asks, “As of now, we cannot confirm that you are from North Korea,” they tell him that they can’t and then show him lying on the ground, clearly unable to take it any longer. Nevertheless, Loh Kiwan crosses paths with Marie (Choi Sung Eun), a Belgian-born Korean professional shooter who has become hopeless.
“I have done this by swearing to myself that I would stay and get through the worst of what this land had to offer,” says Loh Kiwan. As a last statement, he says, “I am Loh Kiwan.”
