With her fourth consecutive win on the IFPI Global Artist Chart, Taylor Swift has solidified her position as music’s undisputed queen. This is Swift’s second consecutive win, and the announcement of the prestigious honor came from IFPI on X.
Swift won four People’s Choice Awards last week, and this news followed quickly after. This latest accolade further cemented her position as 2023’s most prominent global musician, solidifying her control in the music scene.
Swift has achieved unprecedented success, according to a statement from the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), which reads, “#1 – Taylor Swift.”

In doing so, Swift equals pop icon BTS as the year’s best-selling artist for a record-breaking second year running. Popular Korean pop group SEVENTEEN, who are labelmates with BTS, came in at number two on the IFPI list, just below Swift.

Lana Del Rey was the lone female performer to make it into the top ten out of the twenty artists and ensembles honored, alongside Swift. Notable artists such as Stray Kids, Ed Sheeran, Bad Bunny, Drake, The Weeknd, and others were also on the list.
In 2023, Swift accomplished a great deal, earning numerous accolades, including as Time’s Person of the Year and Spotify’s Global Top Artist. She extended her dominion into 2024, when she began the year by taking home her fourteenth Grammy.
