Even if it seems like Vienna Blood season 3 has just begun, the eagerly awaited third episode has already ended. The play, directed by Max Liebermann (Matthew Beard) and Oskar Rheinhardt (Juergen Maurer), has once more come to an end despite its abundance of opulent settings, grim violent plotlines, and interpersonal drama.
The team is followed in the series as they investigate a number of mysterious deaths, including this time the murder of a young seamstress who was discovered dead in a high-end fashion store and the suicide of a retired soldier.
Not only is this the kind of show that keeps viewers wondering until the very end, but it also offers an intriguing glimpse into the psychology of the murderers and is, of course, set in Vienna in the early 1900s. Therefore, it is not surprising that fans are unsure about whether season 4 of the popular show will air. Vienna Blood Season 4 Release Date
It’s difficult to predict a release date for the potential fourth season because the BBC hasn’t yet announced if it will proceed. If past seasons provide any indication, a new season might be released toward the end of the next year. Season 1 debuted on BBC Two in 2019, but season 2 was published in 2021 after a short delay (possibly caused by COVID). Given that Season 3 was just recently released, Christmas 2024 might be something to look forward to.

Vienna Blood Cast
We know that Vienna Blood wouldn’t exist without its two main figures, thus we know that Max (Beard) and Oskar (Maurer) would return to serve as the show’s executive producers for a prospective season 4. Vienna Blood Season 3 Summary
We’re confident that the fourth installment’s premise of murder, secrets, and psychology would be similar. The Liebermann Papers, a collection of books by Frank Tallis, is also the inspiration for the program, which is a hidden gem.
As of yet, the novels Mortal Mischief, Vienna Blood, and Fatal Lies have been used as models for their cinematic adaptations. Tallis’ book series consists of a total of seven novels, so perhaps we should anticipate the BBC series to do the same.
If so, the description of the fourth book (Darkness Rising) seems downright spooky. The decapitated body of a monk is discovered outside one of Vienna’s major churches in the year 1903.
As it goes on: “Then, the remains of a city council member are found on another church’s property. Since both men were virulent anti-Semites, suspicion quickly falls on Vienna’s tight-knit Hasidic Jewish community. The scenario is potentially explosive in a city torn by racial tensions and fanaticism.”

Liebermann is rapidly attracted to the world of Jewish mysticism as Rheinhardt and Liebermann are conducting their investigation. We’re not suggesting that sounds like a great drama series, but wouldn’t that make for some fantastic television?
