Big Hit Entertainment, the agency that represents BTS, announced V’s acting debut on February 29, 2016. Set during the reign of the Silla dynasty, the drama is set to premiere later this year. Han Sung, played by V, is Suk Hyun Jae’s grandson and an ally in the rebellion against the Silla imperial dynasty. The persona of V Han Sung is an amiable and welcoming guy.
V initially came to public attention in 2013 as a member of BTS, but this marks his acting debut. “Hwarang: The Beginning” will chronicle the lives of a select band of Silla dynasty youths as they navigate the complexities of love, passion, and maturation. A “Youth Historical Drama” is how it’s labeled.
Who Helped V Mostly At Hwarang Set?
Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth was BTS member V’s acting debut. It co-starred alongside Park Seo-Joon and Park Hyung-sik, two members of his Wooga Squad. V, whose real name is Kim Taehyung, discussed the hardships he had while filming the show and particularly the emotional passages in the most recent episode of In The Soop: Friendcation. For his part, he expressed gratitude to Seo-Joon.
During their time at Hwarang, V mentioned that Seo-joon was a great help. While on tour and performing concerts, I had my first acting role. I was at a loss as to how to convey the necessary feeling in my words. Feeling completely disoriented was a first for me. I approached Seo-joon and told him the truth: I had no idea what I was doing. I informed him that I aspire to excel. After I told him that, he made a note of the appropriate emotions to use in each scene.
Played by Park Seo-joon, the protagonist Moo-young of Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth was a commoner who fought his way into the new elite organization known as the “Hwarang” despite his lack of royal blood. The youngest member of the Hwarang, V portrayed a kind and gentle soul who was burdened by his troubled background yet loved by all. In the part of the antagonist, Park Hyung-sik appeared.

V Feeling Pressure During His Acting At Hwarang
In an episode of Burn the Stage, a YouTube Red series by BTS, V discussed the challenges he had in getting ready for his debut drama, Hwarang. V felt a great deal of pressure to represent BTS as an entire when he became the first member to attempt acting. The stress and strain he was under made it impossible for him to give his all on set, he confessed.
V first denied his struggles, but the members could tell he was feeling down.
“At first I had a fighting attitude and I said to my members ‘I can do this, just believe in me!’ but I was so nervous I forgot my lines and wasn’t sure what to do.” — V
V told Jimin about his hardships at the stage.
“For the first time, when I was alone with Jimin — I cried it out and told him how I couldn’t focus on anything. He worried a lot about me.” — V
The members of BTS then took a seat and discussed V’s predicament with him.
“They told me ‘We can’t fix this for you, but we’re here to give you support.’ That comforted me so much.” — V
After that, V knew he could talk to his members about how he really felt because they would always be there for him. Kim Taehyung has been doing well in his military training. He will do his three-week intensive training in near time. He was also awarded as an “Elite Trainee“, his family was also present there. Fans have been so proud of him.
