Their ARMY of fans eagerly await any appearance by the seven members of the worldwide sensation BTS—Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jung-kook—in the South Korean military.
Just recently, on April 12, V—the group’s second-youngest member—shared images from his military service on Instagram and the Weverse app.

A lot of people were worried about the wounds, but they also wanted the ARMY to calm down. In the middle of all this, many thought back to when Taehyung showed his bruised back to fans twice: in the music video for “Blood, Sweat & Tears” and during the live performance of the song.

BTS performed “Boy Meets Evil Part.1,” “Boy Meets Evil Part.2,” “Blood, Sweat, & Tears,” and “Fire” during the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). V, though, was spotted approaching Jin while turning away from the spectators just before the ‘Fire’ performance.
He undressed, baring the cut stumps of angel wings that adorned his bare back. Scars on V’s body were wounds sustained when his angel wings were severed in the music video. He portrayed a devil.
It didn’t take long for ARMY to make connections on X (previously Twitter) when people started talking about his recent stage performance and the familiar-looking red markings on his back.
