What Will Happen In The Third Season Of The Dalgliesh Books?
The series on Channel 5 hasn’t stuck to the same timeline as PD James’s collection. The Dalgliesh library has 14 titles, so readers aren’t short on options.
Dalgliesh, despite Blanche, his literary agent, urging him to devote himself entirely to poetry, decided not to do so at the end of season two. He has instead decided to accept a promotion and take up the role of commander.
Dalgliesh recommended Kate for a promotion, which should have been met with jubilation, but instead, she showed little enthusiasm. The promotion to detective inspector would allow her to transfer to a more responsible squad, which is suitable for her profession but would reduce her time spent with Dalgliesh greatly.
Kate is unenthusiastic about the possibility, but she agrees since she knows it would be silly to pass it up. Do Dalgliesh and Kate truly break up for good this time?
