In a handwritten letter that he posted on the South Korean social media site Weverse on January 17, 2024, BTS member Jimin announced his impending graduation from a five-week basic training program and other news.
In South Korea, any able-bodied male is required to serve his country for 18 months, with the exact length dependent on the department to which he is assigned. As companion soldiers, Jimin and Jungkook joined the military on December 12, 2023.
When they saw the translated letter, fans went ballistic and began gushing over the Like Crazy singer on social media. The entire letter was translated and posted by an X user who described him as “the kindest, most thoughtful man.”

Jimin’s Handwritten Letter Makes Fans Crazy
The Set Me Free Pt.2 singer has announced in a handwritten letter that he will be graduating from five weeks of basic training tomorrow at a military ceremony.
He checked in with his ARMY supporters to see how they were doing and let them know that Jungkook was by his side. The following passage from his message has been translated by X user @haruharu w_bts:

Jimin promised to report to his designated base soon as the letter came to a close. His heart went out to his supporters, who he pleaded with not becoming sick and to keep a positive outlook. According to his promise to pen another letter, as interpreted by @haruharu w_bts:
“Jungkookie is also working hard with his military life. He’s doing extremely well with his military life that everyone else is like “as expected, jungkookie hyung. While being beside him, i feel like i can depend on him lots and he has been giving me strength.”
