Teddy Island Releases: A modern teddy bear character, Teddy Island, has signed NCT Dream as a model. In this fashion teaser released by Teddy Island, NCT Dream members can wear Teddy Island t-shirts and tote the brand’s signature teddy bear as they engage in lighthearted activities.

NCT Dream
South Korean boy band NCT has three sub-units, and in 2016 SM Entertainment formed NCT Dream (Korean). Before their rebranding in 2020, they were meant to be NCT’s teen unit, with an admissions and graduation system that would see members leave once they reached the age of majority (20 by Korean standards, 19 elsewhere).
The single “Chewing Gum” was released on August 25, 2016, and the sub-unit consisted of seven members with an average age of 15.6 years old: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung. Mark, the group’s leader, left NCT Dream in late 2018, but the seven-member group reformed and began actively marketing in 2020.

NCT Dream became one of the year’s top 10 domestic physical sellers thanks to the popularity of their 2019 EP We Boom, which also earned them Bonsang prizes at the 34th Golden Disc Awards and the 2020 Seoul Music Awards.
Over half a million people preordered their second and final record as a sextet, the Korean-language EP Reload (2020). The first studio album from NCT Dream, Hot Sauce (2021), sold almost 1.71 million copies before it was even released.

At the 31st Seoul Music Awards, it was recognized as the finest album of the year and quickly climbed to the top of the Gaon Chart for the first half of 2021.
