Worldbuilders, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, isn’t your standard K-pop group. The group of five intentionally crafts each song and music video, telling engaging tales that fans will find easy to get lost in. TXT is starting the year with The Name Chapter: Temptation, a brand-new EP based on the Peter Pan story that will be available on January 27. This is a homage to their storytelling skills.
The Name Chapter exhibits TXT exploring their impending adulthood with more than a trace of reluctance, much like their Peter Pan inspiration. TXT ramped up the heat and experimenting as they approached the next era. The five-song EP uses Afrobeats (“Tinnitus”) and other unheard-of genres, including rapper Coi Leray (“Happy Fools”), and closes forcefully with “Farewell, Neverland.”

TXT made its debut as a young teen in 2019, and since then, its discography has followed a carefully controlled narrative. Every publication or chapter has captured a distinct stage of youth and is replete with uplifting and motivating messages. The Dream Chapter: Star, their debut album, detailed TXT’s search for friendship and love.

They demonstrated their capacity to adapt to the requirements and emotions of their audiences by filling the voids between albums with “minisode” EPs. Their 2022 minisode 2: Thursday’s Child EP addressed romance in a harsher way than their 2020 EP minisode 1: Blue Hour, which included songs about the pandemic.
The edgier The Chaos Chapter: Freeze and its repackaged version, The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape, published in 2021, featured greater involvement from TXT in songwriting and production. In 2022, TOMORROW, X TOGETHER made a fresh start and shifted their attention to the United States.
TXT had a busy year, performing at Lollapalooza as the first K-pop group, embarking on their first world tour, and working on two English singles with rapper Iann Dior and vocalist Salem Ilese. With their EP minisode 2: Thursday’s Child, they also made history as the lone Korean musicians (apart from labelmates BTS) to crack the top 10 best-selling albums list of 2022.

They’ve experimented with genres including R&B, rock, and disco throughout it all, demonstrating the versatility of their distinctive sound. They appear set for greater global hegemony as they prepare to go on ACT: SWEET MIRAGE, a world tour, in the spring.
HUENINGKAI, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN, YEONJUN, and SOOBIN were all reached by GRAMMY.com via Zoom to talk about their goals for 2023, the development of a new plot in The Name Chapter: Temptation, and how the rest of their story progresses.
