The first update to Jin’s Instagram since 2023 has just been published! On March 4, Jin sent a charming image on his defunct Instagram account, which has not been used since December 2022. He wrote, “Welcome,” while posing in his ROK army uniform with his fellow members j-hope and Jimin, who came to visit him at his base!
On March 1st, meanwhile, Jin was promoted to private first class for his rigorous military service. J-hope, another group member of Jin, is preparing to enlist in the military in the first half of 2023.

BTS Jin
Kim Seok-jin, also referred to professionally as Jin and born on December 4, 1992, is a South Korean singer, composer, and a member of the boy band BTS. Kim has collaborated with BTS on three solo songs, “Awake,” “Epiphany,” and “Moon,” all of which have achieved success on the Gaon Digital Chart in South Korea. Kim’s debut independent song, the digital single “Now,” was published in 2019.
After releasing the single “The Astronaut” in October 2022, he formally entered as a solo artist. In addition to singing, Kim hosted several South Korean music shows from 2016 to 2018. For their contributions to Korean culture, he and his bandmates received the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit from the President of South Korea in 2018.
