Jimin is the stage name of South Korean vocalist and dancer Park Ji-min. Under the record label Big Hit Entertainment, he made his debut in 2013 as a member of the South Korean boy band BTS.
Jimin has released three solo singles under the BTS moniker: “Lie” in 2016, “Serendipity” in 2017, and “Filter” in 2020. All three of these songs have charted on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart.
In 2018, he released the digital track “Promise”, which he co-wrote, and in 2022, he recorded the duet “With You” with Ha Sung-woon for the soundtrack of the TvN drama Our Blues. Face, Jimin’s debut solo album, was released in 2023.
It debuted at number one in South Korea, Japan, and the United States, while its second single, “Like Crazy,” debuted at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. On the Billboard 200 and the Hot 100, he is the highest-charting Korean solo artist of all time and the first to lead the latter.
